Wyckoff moves on after 33 years of making a difference for seniors
Peter T. Wyckoff, founder and executive director of the Minnesota Senior Federation-Metropolitan Region for the past 33 years, announced his retirement effective the end of the year. |

By Dec. 31, the Minnesota Senior Federation will be one month shy of the ripe old age of 34. At the same time, its founder and executive director will cut the apron strings and, as any proud parent, send the Federation out into the world. Peter T. Wyckoff has announced his retirement. |

Primary narrows field for November 7 general election

Metro fundraiser taking place at Herberger’s stores on Nov. 11
The Minnesota Senior Federation is again selling coupon books for Herberger's Community Day on Nov. 11. The Federation keeps all proceeds from the books we sell and will also receive a portion of the proceeds from books sold at area Herberger's stores. |
Correction
In the September Senior News, It was stated that on Oct. 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., there would be a Fall Medicare Forum at Columbia Golf Course in Minneapolis. There will be an informational presentation on changes to Medicare from 9:30-10:30 a.m. but health plan representatives will not be present to answer questions about specific plans. Top ten challenge grant exceeds goal by $4,579
The Minnesota Senior Federation recently received $24,579 in response to a challenge grant of $20,000, set up to meet needs expressed on a top ten wish list, for a total gift of $44,579. |
