Nominations being accepted for the MnSF Board PDF Print E-mail

The Federation’s annual convention on Oct. 20 now has nine applications for the Board of Directors. Current Board members applying for a new term are: Ed Holst, Spicer; Rob Schultz, Excelsior and Krishna Seshan, Minneapolis. 

New applicants for out state seats include:

Joe Moren of Hibbing. Moren has had extensive experience with retired educators and labor groups.

Dexter Pehle of Biwabik. Pehle has  held leadership positions in various local, state, regional and national Federation positions. He currently serves as president of his local senior center. 

New applicants for at-large seats include:

Ed Kohler of St. Paul. Kohler had experience with pension issues though his retirement  group. He also has taught social justice issues on the college level.

Idelle Longman of Edina. Longman has experience on a national level in public policy and other non-profit issues. She owned a travel business for 20 years before retiring.

Kenneth Zapp of Minneapolis. Zapp is a professor of economics and finance at Metropolitan State University. He is  interested in working with issues of direct services for seniors and advocacy for progressive polices. 

Brian Wolf of St. Louis Park. Wolf is president and owner of Wolf Tax Advisory Group, Inc. He is interested in  assisting seniors on issues surrounding taxes, retirement, legal and health issues.
