Olga Engevik celebrated her 97th birthday in early August at the Greenleaf Assisted Living and Dining Room in Thief River Falls. Engevik was the first secretary for the MnSF-Northwest Region in 1980. She was also treasurer for the region for many years. Though blindness led to her resigning from that position, she continued to be very active, directing the Heritage Choir at the Heritage Community Center.
