Approaching your 65th birthday or over age 65 and getting ready to retire? If so, chances are that you are overwhelmed by Medicare Parts A, B and D as well as the many Medicare Supplement and health plan options available to you.

The Minnesota Senior Federation has years of experience offering unbiased and clear information to people enrolling in Medicare. Attend one of MnSF’s upcoming “Navigating Medicare” sessions and you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your health care options.

Prior to class, participants who register early will receive a copy of the MnSF comprehensive publication, 2009 Health Care Choices for Minnesotans with Medicare, a $10 value, and will be asked to fill out and return a prescription drug worksheet if they’d like help choosing a Part D prescription drug plan. Volunteer counselors use the worksheets for Medicare’s official “Part D Plan Finder,” the only official online data source that results in a listing of costs for the available Part D plans customized to your specific medications.

Registration in the Navigating Medicare class is $50 per person, or $75 per couple. The fee includes a one-year membership to MnSF (a $20 value for a single person, and $30 value for a couple). Participants who want individualized Part D information should mail their completed Rx drug worksheet at least one week prior to class.

Spring sessions will be held at the MnSF office in St Paul.
