The Minnesota Senior Federation has lost a loyal volunteer extraordinaire, but Lucy’s spirit lives on! Lucille (Lucy) Robinson (East Metro Region advisory council member) passed away Feb. 2 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Lucy will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched in her gentle, caring way.

Lucy was a positive ray of sunshine, always looking to give, and give she did! She was a loving mother and grandmother and community, union and political activist who always had time for YOU. I was privileged to call Lucy my good friend, mentor and fellow activist for almost 20 years. Our “sisterhood” began at an AFSCME convention and picked up speed as we retired with many causes for the common good to work on!

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Lucy’s family. Thanks for sharing your beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother with the Minnesota Senior Federation, the labor movement, the DFL Senior Caucus and so many other community organizations!
