Take the MnSF property tax survey and help with tax reform PDF Print E-mail

The Federation’s 2009 Minnesota legislative goal is to establish a 5 percent limit to what the property tax can take from a homestead property owner’s income. The MnSF tax committee asks for your help in collecting data we need to promote this legislation. What impresses legislators the most is the percentage of a Minnesotan’s income that is taken by the property tax. To this end, the tax committee asks you to fill out and return the survey (click to download a printable survey form) and mail to:

The information can be found on the County Assessor’s “Proposed Property Tax for 2009” - also known as “Truth in Taxation Notice.” This notice was recently sent to all homestead property owners. We need this information from homeowners living in both metro and out-state locations.
