Northwest Region met in East Grand Forks Sept. 16. Attending were Bud Anderson, Doris Dahle, Clauddette Forsberg, Winton Forsberg, Edward Johnson, Judith Johnson, Anna Kaymierzak, Laura Kluzak, J. Larson, Janis Lorenzen, Myra Nesland, Joye Olson, Hilma Strick, Helen Wysoski and Conrad Zak.

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance which was followed by Olson reading the secretary’s report. It was approved. Wysoski read the treasurer’s report which was put on file for audit.
Raffle ticket sales so far number 350. It was noted that Nesland, Olsen and Wysoski are delegates to the Oct. 12 MnSF State Convention in Little Falls and a motion was made by Anderson and seconded by Kaymierzak to pay for their registration fees. It passed and registration fees have been sent.
Christmas ads for the December supplement to Minnesota Senior News were discussed.

Nesland reported on Senior Partners Care.

Lorenzen was thanked for arranging treats for the day’s meeting.

Danica Robson of Northwest Area on Aging spoke on the new Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit.

Northwest’s next meeting will be at the convention in April 2006.
