Midwest, Minnesota Valley and Southwest regions combined forces for a local senior expo called Life Connections.  Members from all three regions assisted in setting up and distributing materials about the Minnesota Senior Federation at this two-day event, April 20-21. More than 500 packets of information covering all aspects of the Federation including membership, Senior Partners Care, Medicare Part D, and a list of our legislative priorities were handed out to people attending this event. The DVD on Decoding Part D was shown continuously throughout the event. Many people attending had numerous questions and comments on the new program resulting in many lively discussions. Contacts were made with other organizations such as the local Area Agency on Aging, senior citizens clubs, Southwest Initiative Foundation, AARP and insurance companies like BlueCross BlueShield.  The overall visibility that this event creates helps the public understand more about the Federation and what it stands for and fights for. A special thank you to all who took part to make this event a success.
