The 33rd Annual Convention of Minnesota Senior Federation-Metro Region elected new officers and area vice presidents for 2006. The following were elected by unanimous vote:

President - Gil Kiekenapp;
area vice president of programs - Susie Ragland;
area vice president of issues - Dick Smith;
recording secretary - Jean Norrbom;
trustee - Jim Kohrt;

area vice presidents
Area 1 (Central, North and Northeast Minneapolis) - D. Perry Kidder;
Area 2 (South Hennepin County) - Dennis Shonka;
Area 3 (Dakota and Scott counties) - Mimi Nachman;
Area 5 (Northwest Hennepin and Anoka counties) - Marty Gates;
Area 8 (union retirees organizations) - Mary Ann Beneke; and
Area 9 (union retirees organizations) - Dan Mikel;

state Federation board members are Joyce Keller and Joseph Ramnarine.

Congratulations to these new officers. They will assume their positions July 1.
