If you are looking for a fun day excursion this summer, consider one of the day trips being offered by the MnSF-Metro Region travel committee.  Invite your friends to join you! It is a great way to introduce them to some of the programs offered by the Federation.

A summer luncheon cruise on Lake Minnetonka will be July 24 for $49.   Enjoy a leisurely cruise on the lake with a buffet lunch, including a build-your-own sandwich, pasta salad, assorted desserts and beverage.  After the cruise, the trolley will take you to downtown Excelsior for shopping or to the trolley barn for information on how volunteers maintain the trolley and line.

Sinatra-era music will be performed by singing duo,  The Classics,  at a luncheon at Spectacular Events Banquet Center located in Isanti on Aug. 16.  The combination of great music, laughter and audience participation makes for great entertainment. Menu includes salad, chicken breast with sage stuffing, mashed potatoes, honey-glazed baby carrots, dinner rolls, beverage and Spectacular's wonderful strawberry trifle. Cost is $45. 

"Boots, Bandits and Beer" is a day tour offered Sept. 21 for a cost of $54. An escorted motorcoach will take you to Mason Shoe Outlet in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, where you can purchase leather shoes, handbags and other leather goods while enjoying refreshments. A hearty western meal will be found at the end of a horse-drawn wagon ride near Cadott. During the wagon ride, Judy Filles relates more than 200 years of family history as you travel along the creek. During the luncheon, Tim Danielson, "the singing cowboy," will entertain you. Leinenkugel's Brewery will be the next stop and samples are included on the tour. Final stop is at Olson's Ice Cream Parlor for a cool treat.
