The office has been busy with letters to go out to legislators inviting them to our August meeting, getting the raffle mailing ready and compiling information for the Christmas supplement ad solicitation. By the time you read this all will have been accomplished and I thank all those who came into the office to help with the mailing. It can't be done without you assisting! Hats off to Don Frank for his diligence in working to see that airlines changed their rules and regulations for traveling passengers who use oxygen. Way to go, Don! Longtime member of the Senior Federation, Warren Coleman of Mountain Iron, died July 9. He and Irene had been married for 59 years. He will be missed by many. Also, Milly Frysch was in a car accident and is currently recuperating in a nursing home. No further details were available to me, but we all wish Milly a speedy recovery. Our August meeting is the legislative meeting to be held Aug. 11 at Hibbing Community Center located. 400 E. 23rd St. Box lunches from Kentucky Fried Chicken will be ordered and available for those with a reservation for $6. Reservations need to be in to me at the office by noon Aug. 3. The Sept. 8 meeting will be hosted by Swan Lake Golden Agers. I look forward to seeing you at our monthly meeting.
