Heaven’s radioWhen I was small, I wondered How God could hear me pray, For I had never seen him Though I talked to him each day. I knew he lived, I could not doubt Because he blessed me so. But how could my small voice be heard? If only I could know! And then I heard of radio; How sounds from far and near Come over miles and miles of space To reach my listening ear. Today my television set Brings greater light to me For now, not only do I hear, But I can also see. It makes me feel so close to God, He hears my prayers I know If I just keep myself tuned in On Heaven’s radio. Frances Bahl, Appleton
Just in timeMy mother says it’s not too late To wish on stars or learn to skate To taste new creatures on my plate To “brace” my teeth and make them straight To finally hook my own live bait To whine no more - appreciate! She’s 92, I’m 68 Yvonne Cecchini, Hastings
LifeAs life passes on And years go by - We find ourselves wondering Why me - why? Just yesterday we were teens, Today we’re just old. Children grown and gone, Matured and bold. But grandkids are here And soon great-grands, too. Life’s meaning is returning And all I can say is yoo-hoo!! Mrs. Fabiola Schmidt, Crystal
