Herberger's Community Days coupon sellers - raise money for the MnSF by selling Community Day coupon books in metro Herberger's stores. All supplies, a table and chairs are provided. Shifts are 2 hours and 15 minutes each at the Midway, Rosedale and Southtown Herberger's stores. Call for days and times.
Legal Referral Assistant - help members of the Minnesota Senior Federation access reduced-rate legal assistance. Retrieve calls from the Legal Referral voicemail and use provided resources to return calls and give legal referrals. Messages should be checked at least twice a week. This position averages between one and four hours a week. Once training is completed, this assignment can be done from home.
Medicare enrollment events assistants - we need volunteers to help in a variety of ways for several upcoming Medicare-related events. You do not need to have Medicare or computer knowledge for some of the positions.
Greeters/registration - greet, direct and/or register people attending MnSF educational forums between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. No Medicare knowledge needed. Dates and locations are:
Monday, Oct. 16 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Pax Christi Catholic Community in Eden Prairie Friday, Oct. 20 at Wilder Community Center in St. Paul Monday, Oct. 23 at Lyngblomsten Chapel in St. Paul Friday, Oct. 27 at Maple Grove Community Center in Maple Grove
Volunteers are also needed for Medicare enrollment events at the Senior Federation office in St. Paul for the following times and positions:
Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Nov. 15, 22 and 29 and Dec. 6, 13, 20, and 27; and Saturdays 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Nov. 18 and Dec. 30.
Greeters - greet and direct individuals to a waiting area before their appointments. No Medicare knowledge needed. This will require some walking and standing.
Medicare enrollers - Using Medicare's on-line tool, meet with individuals for one-hour appointments to help determine the best Medicare plan for their needs. Training on the computer tool will be provided; must have basic computer knowledge, be punctual and dependable.
