Winning tickets for the Minnesota Senior Federation 2006 state raffle were drawn at the Oct. 11 state convention at Maple Grove Community Center. 

Tickets were distributed to members in the summer and fall for $2 per ticket. Proceeds are used to support the work of the Minnesota Senior Federation 

The Grand Prize of $1,000 was won by Laurie Bartos of Hoffman. Bartos, a hairstylist, has purchased tickets from Bernice Humann, one of her clients and an MnSF member, for several years and was very surprised and pleased to learn that she had won the grand prize. Humann had the pleasure of telling Bartos of her good fortune, as Humann was present at the convention when her winning ticket was drawn. Good job of selling tickets Bernice and we hope you enjoy your winnings Laurie!

The $500 cash prize was won by Becky Mann, Elbow Lake; the $200 cash prize went to Edwin Holst, Spicer; and the two $100 prizes winners were Anthony Zaragoza, Mankato; and Ruth Clemens, Halloway. 

Other prizes given were certificates and gifts from Acme Comedy Club, Bachman's, Black Woods Bar & Grill, Brave New Workshop, By All Means Graphics, Game Works, Jackpot Junction Casino, Linder's Greenhouses, Minnesota Twins, Northland Inn, Saint Paul Hotel, Science Museum of Minnesota, Shooting Star Casino, Treasure Island Resort & Casino, Tourco's Firstline Tours, UnderWater World, Walgreen's, Walker Art Center and Wild Mountain.
