Minnesota Senior Federation is an initial member of the Minnesota Universal Health Care Coalition. All members are encouraged to be well informed of our current efforts - to be able to spread the word to others and to our legislators.

A new brochure and DVD on the work in health care reform are available at www.muhcc.org.

Each member should have a copy of the new MUHCC brochure,  "Comprehensive health care for all Minnesotans." This description of our plans for health care reform, a priority of the Senior Federation should be available at all meetings.

It can be downloaded from the web and duplicated for handouts or obtained from regional offices.

The DVD, "The Missing Piece: the Single Payer Solution to Minnesota's Health Care Crisis," is a 58-minute video divided into 16 topics that can be viewed altogether or separately. It sheds light on the reasons for our exceedingly high health costs.

This is very useful for small group discussions (i.e. neighborhood meetings). A donation of $5 for the DVD is requested to defray costs of production and mailing.

A new  DVD was recently sent to candidates for the state legislature. Members should call candidates in their home districts to discuss issues and to refer questions to MUHCC.
