Metro Region’s annual volunteer recognition lunch will be Nov. 30. All volunteers who have been active in 2006 are welcome; watch for your invitation!

Year-end appeal callers - make follow-up calls to past donors who will have already received a donation letter. No cold calling. Calls will be made from the Senior Federation office Nov. 13-17. Shift times and length are flexible, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Training will be given at the start of all shifts.

Medicare enrollment events assistants - help in a variety of ways for upcoming Medicare-related events. You do not need to have Medicare or computer knowledge for some of the positions. Volunteers are needed for Medicare enrollment events at the Senior Federation office in St. Paul for the following times and positions: Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 15, 22 and 29 and Dec. 6, 13, 20 and 27; and Saturdays between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Nov. 18 and Dec. 30.

Greeters - Greet and direct individuals to a waiting area before their appointments. No Medicare knowledge needed. This will require some walking and standing.

Medicare enrollers - Using Medicare’s on-line tool, meet with individuals for one-hour appointments to help determine the best Medicare plan(s) for their needs. Training on the computer tool will be provided; must have basic computer knowledge, be punctual and dependable.
