If you received any kind of letter from Medicare in August, September, or October of 2006 concerning your Extra Help status, your Extra Help status will be changing. It is important to find out what these changes are! Nearly 7,300 Minnesotans will be losing their Extra Help assistance. Other Extra Help beneficiaries may see their premiums and co-payments increase. If you received a letter, do not delay, contact a MnSF health counselor at 651/783-5045 or toll free at 866/783-5045, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m., Monday-Friday, with any questions you may have about the Extra Help changes for 2007.
