Attorney general files suit against living trust and annuities companies PDF Print E-mail
The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office filed a lawsuit against American Family Prepaid Legal Corporation, d/b/a American Family Legal Plan and Heritage Marketing and Insurance Services, Inc., alleging that the companies are engaged in a coordinated, deceptive and fraudulent scheme to sell living trusts and annuities to senior citizens, even when a living trust and/or an annuity is not appropriate for their estate planning or financial needs. This lawsuit is intended to stop AFLP and Heritage from deceptively selling living trusts and annuities to Minnesota seniors in violation of the law.
