Driver improvement courses can save you money PDF Print E-mail

The Minnesota Senior Federation is proud to announce three upcoming driver improvement classes conducted by the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center that allow anyone over age 55 to qualify for a 10 percent discount on automobile insurance once the course is completed. The discount lasts for three years.

The sessions are:

  • Four-hour refresher - Thursday, May 24, 8 a.m.-noon
  • Four-hour refresher - Thursday, June 14, 8 a.m.-noon
  • Full course (eight hours) - Saturday, June 23, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with an hour for lunch on your own.

Courses will be held at the Federation’s office, 1885 University Ave. W., Suite 190, St. Paul. If you need driving directions, click here or call 651/645-0261.

Refresher courses are for drivers who have had the training before; the full course is for first-timers and must be taken before the refresher course.

Fees for driver improvement courses are $18 for the four-hour refresher and $20 for the full course. Minnesota Senior Federation members should bring their membership cards to receive a $3-off coupon, available at the door.

Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
