Metro’s May 5 convention features hands-on sessions with a dose of humor PDF Print E-mail

Practical, solutions-based breakout sessions blend with a memorable keynote speaker promising a day well spent for all who attend the upcoming MnSF-Metro Region Convention. Participants can choose from four life tracks: Pre-Retirement; Life Style and Health; Safety; and Public Policy Issues, plus 12 stimulating sessions that cover everything from caregiving trends and defensive driving to an exciting computer-based brain fitness program called PositScience.

Will the 40- and 50-somethings of today have to pay out half their income in taxes to keep the system going? Will there be a massive redistribution of wealth from workers to retirees? Or is all this just overblown hype? A Retirement Security session will sort out the facts from fiction.

Sign up for a Silver Sneakers demo or get the big picture on planned giving and how it can reduce your potential estate and inheritance taxes.

Renowned keynote speaker, Bowen F. White, MD, will present a prescription for living fully that is as easy to swallow as it is effective.

A captivating presenter, great breakouts taught by seasoned experts, and a host of exhibits provide plenty of reasons to join in at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center on May 5, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Registration fees include exhibits, breakout sessions, keynote address, lunch and a business meeting. Cost for MnSF members is $30; non-MnSF members pay $50, which includes a one-year membership to MnSF. Registrations must be in by May 1 or they’ll receive an additional $5 charge. For more information or to register for the convention, call 651/645-0261 or click here.
