Mary Farr joins Federation staff as new communications director |

Mary Farr recently joined the Minnesota Senior Federation staff as director of communications and public relations. A veteran communications and PR professional, she brings years of experience in all aspects of print and electronic media. As both an independent consultant and a director of communications for a Fortune 40 health care organization, she has acquired a broad understanding of the health care industry - from health care services and health benefits, to medical malpractice and public health. Farr has also served as director of chaplaincy for Children’s Hospital and Clinics where she developed continuing education seminars for medical residents on physician/patient communication. She has frequently presented at health care conferences and published several trade books, including Heart of Health, John Wiley and Sons, New York. Her areas of expertise include: health and wellness; vision, values and brand clarification; strategic communications planning; program development; and change management. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with degrees in graphic design and English, she also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theology from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul. |
