Though July brings those lazy, hazy days of summer, the need for volunteers continues. Several areas of volunteer opportunities are available for Federation members.

More than 60 volunteers will be needed to assist with a large mailing July 23-26. Shifts start at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Your help is very much needed and we would appreciate any time that you could give to this effort. 

Other volunteer opportunities:

1. Health Plan Information counselors: This is a weekly commitment to counsel people over the phone and in person regarding health plans.  Training provided

2. Receptionist assistant: If you like customer service, greeting visitors, answering phones and processing mail, we are looking for you to help out at the front desk. Training provided. This position offers a flexible work schedule.

3. Volunteer Speaker’s Bureau - Are you comfortable speaking in front of groups of people? The Minnesota Senior Federation is looking for volunteers to represent MnSF by giving community presentations about the organization’s health programs.  Whether you simply enjoy speaking in front of groups or have a personal experience with one of the Senior Federation’s health programs and want to share them with others, we would love for you to join the speaker’s bureau. Training provided.
