It seems hard to believe but summer is quickly slipping away. Looking forward to fall, the work of the Minnesota Senior Federation's committees will gear up for legislative sessions, the state convention and other MnSF activities. Committees that meet regularly are income security/tax committee, health action, membership, the Medicare justice work group, Senior News editorial board, Northwest chapter, South Metro chapter and financial development.

Consider joining a committee, or helping with one or more of these other volunteer opportunities:

• Health plan information counselors - This is a weekly commitment to counsel people over the phone and in person regarding health plans and related health coverage plans. Training provided
• Assistant to receptionist - If you like customer service, greeting visitors, answering phones and processing mail, we are looking for you to help out at the front desk. Training provided. Flexible work schedule.
• Volunteer Speakers Bureau - Are you comfortable speaking in front of groups of people? The Minnesota Senior Federation is looking for volunteers to represent MnSF by giving community presentations about the organization's health programs. Whether you simply enjoy speaking in front of groups or have a personal experience with one of the Senior Federation's health programs and want to share them with others, we would love for you to join the speaker's bureau. Training provided.
