The Minnesota Senior Federation will make history at its 34th Annual Convention in Little Falls Oct. 10. Structured primarily as a business meeting, each MnSF region will gather as a caucus to consider a resolution to dissolve their regional organization, and then vote to join a newly formed statewide organization. The convention will be held at the Falls Ballroom, 15879 Hwy. 27. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the convention runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The registration fee will be $25 per person. Scholarships are available for those who need them. “We have worked very hard to get to this point in time,” remarked MnSF president, Lois Williams. “Each region will have to decide for themselves what their future looks like, but this is the best opportunity we have had in years to make significant forward-looking change in the Federation.” As in years past, attendees are invited to gather the night before for a social event to discuss pros and cons of the “new” Federation. The party will be held at the Americinn Lodge & Suites beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you plan to attend, RSVP on the registration form or call Lynn Moseng at 651/783-5018. A block of rooms has been reserved at AmericInn Lodge & Suites, 306 Lenieur St., Little Falls (near intersection of highways 10 and 27) for lodging on Tuesday evening, Oct. 9. Cost for a typical room is $74.99 or a suite for $88.99 plus tax per room (please request the type of room you would like when you make your reservation). Breakfast is included in the cost of the rooms. To make a room reservation, call 320/632-1964 and be sure to identify yourself as a Minnesota Senior Federation member.
