The Minnesota Senior Federation has announced a new, “one-stop shop” option for its members and the community at large. Whether your need is brand-name prescription drugs or generics, the new Senior Rx Care is a complete resource for everyone from the uninsured to those retirees without adequate Medicare Part D coverage. “Another group that will benefit right off is those who have reached the “donut hole” in their Part D coverage,” remarked MnSF president, Lois Williams. “This new partnership between the Senior Federation and Senior Rx Care is a critical addition to the ongoing fight for lower-cost prescription drugs.” The goal of the new MnSF prescription program is to provide a more enhanced and focused marketing opportunity and to consolidate the current program, making it more efficient. “By consolidating the program, we create efficiencies and pass savings onto the Federation member,” stated SRC co-owner Andy Troszok. Formerly, Extended Care Pharmacy out of Calgary and Universal Drugstore from Winnipeg, Canada, administered the Federation reimportation program independently. Both companies spent separate resources on call center, data management, customer services and dispensing. Efficiency created by consolidating these services has made it possible to bring in other partners on services such as an American source for generic drugs. |
