When my husband passed away, I began volunteering through the RSVP volunteer program. One day I was assigned to the Minnesota Senior Federation, it was my first introduction to the group and I helped with a huge membership mailing. After that I volunteered every month at the Senior Federation until someone invited me to join and I was thrilled. I already knew the Federation did so much to help others and I thought it was important to join and lend my support.

Later on, I got my brother-in-law to join, too. We appreciate the travel discounts and I think Minnesota Senior News carries informative articles and news about older adults. I still volunteer and enjoy working with organizations that serve others in our community. The Senior Federation provides a friendly social gathering where I’m welcome.
